[Hidden-tech] Blackberry 8820 - Re: buying used cell phones, unlocking and functionality

Really late to this discussion but an AT&T phone does not necessarily need
an AT&T SIM. If the phone is unlocked then it can take a SIM from another
carrier. I replace the SIM card in my AT&T phone every year with a European
carrier when I go to Europe and it works fine (and costs a whole lot less to
make calls and use the internet than keeping the AT&T SIM in the phone).

** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area.
** If you did, we all thank you.

The ATT phone would need an ATT SIM.

common problem. Sellers can often get rid of the phone before it shows up on
the blocked list.

etc. However, I'm not sure if Apple takes any action against devices with
blocked IMEIs with regard to the App Store, especially paid apps.
