[Hidden-tech] Wipe a MacBook hard drive?

Hi all,

My husband's MacBook recently developed a hardware problem in the screen
(it fades to black after being on for a few seconds), and we're looking for
someone to wipe the hard drive so we can sell the machine for parts or
repair. I'm in Shelburne Falls and would like to bring it somewhere nearby,
or in the Amherst area.

It's a late 2008 aluminum unibody MacBook with a 13.3" screen, very similar
to this one that recently sold for $250 on eBay:
