[Hidden-tech] iComputerCare: dangerous or the real deal?

It is a scam.  An elderly relative of mine with some cognitive
issues actually gave $900 (!), and it was a lot of work to undo it - that
was over a year ago, so they've been at this a while.

Yeah, I played along with them when they called me, down to the sitting at
the computer part.  When I told them I didn't have whatever they asked me
to look for because I was running Linux, they hung up.

Thank you for wasting some of their time. :-)
