Systems Analyst Development Smith College Smith College is accepting applications for a Systems Analyst. Reporting to the Advancement Services Director, this position executes key technology projects in support of the Participation Initiative of Smith College. These projects include data appends, data loads and product research. Provide technical support and training to staff members specific to the projects undertaken. This is a one-year, limited-term position. Flexible schedules will be considered. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Data Appends: Maintain and increase current knowledge and documentation of Banner’s upload utilities as Smith College would use them for traditional data appends. Document processes and areas of concern to business practices. Develop and implement the systems for regular appends. Develop Cognos reports for the data extracts and reports to audit the uploaded data which includes: email, landline, cell phone, and employment. Data Loads: Maintain and increase current knowledge and documentation of Banner’s upload utilities as Smith College would use them for traditional data loads. Document processes and areas of concern to business practices. Develop and implement systems for regular data loads which includes: phonathon gifts, phonathon pledges, credit card gifts, ACH gifts, NCOA address changes and found alumnae files. Develop Cognos reports to audit the uploaded data. Product Research: Conduct a process analysis of the current online giving system, phonathon software and related processes. Research products available to work with Banner and Salesforce that would provide needed functionality and a mobile friendly experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years relevant experience and a minimum of 2 years of direct integrated database environment related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy; strong quantitative skills; good judgment, discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality; outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interact with diverse constituencies; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work on a team and independently; project management skills: strong computer skills, proficient with integrated database technology. Experience with Banner or similar Oracle-based system is preferred; experience with COGNOS business intelligence preferred. Review of applications will begin immediately.
