I have been running Adobe CS5 on Mavericks for quite some time with no trouble. I'm not a heavy
user, but I use Acrobat Pro and Photoshop regularly for some fairly simply things and they run
smoothly. I haven't done the 10.9.4 update yet, but don't expect any trouble from it. I'm on 10.9.3
on my home computer with CS5. My work computer was updated to 10.9.4 this week, no problems, but I
don't use CS5 there.

I've done all my upgrades in place for years, no clean installs. I even clone my new computers from
my old. So, my "environment" has evolved from way back early versions of OS X.
