It costs me $ 9.95 to register a domain for a year; less if I buy more than a year. Also, because I use them for hosting, I build up credits and can register about every other domain for nothing. > > I have been really happy with dreamhost. > > Ted > > > > > On Thu, Jan 23, 2014 at 3:33 AM, Daniel Lieberman <daniell at incommn.com> wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > > May I suggest Hover - https://www.hover.com/? Domain registration starts at $15.00 per year, a little more than GoDaddy, but there is no up-selling or other extraneous crap going on at Hover, unlike GoDaddy, and even Network Solutions. Their support is absolutely first-rate, and they have solved more than one tricky DNS issue for me over the years I've used them. The user interface at the website is clear and easy to use. > > Daniel > > > > On Wednesday, January 22, 2014, Jan Werner <jwerner at jwdp.com> wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > My domain name registration, which has been with Network Solutions for > some 14 years, is coming up for renewal in a couple of months. > > My site, which is mostly used for e-mail and supporting my customers, > has been hosted for nearly as long by FutureQuest and I have no interest > in moving that, as they have been rock solid for me. > > I also have an account with GoDaddy, where I have minimal hosting and > five other names that I intend to keep, but don't use for much at this > time beyond forwarding to my personal site.
