Hi Lynne, Adobe was seriously hacked recently. The hackers got names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, credit card #s. Changing your Adobe password is of course necessary, and any other accounts if you used the same password on another service. Of course, I wouldn't necessarily trust the links in any email that recommends changing a password. The best piece of advice I've heard for avoiding trouble with stolen CC #s is to always use actual CCs and not debit cards, because replacing them and reversing fraudulent charges is easier and less damaging than a hit to your bank account. Say, Rudié seems uncommon enough a name that I wonder if you are a relation of my friend Emma I met through dance while she was at UMass. Do you do websites and logos? As a web developer, I have occasional need of a designer for client projects. I'm also very actively looking for work building and hosting websites, if you happen to need those services. :) Greg Greg Perham Swing Graphics | Swing Hosting PO Box 1436 Northampton, MA 01061 greg at swinggraphics.com 413 570-0881 On Oct 21, 2013, at 8:16 PM, Lynne Rudié wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > Hello Hidden-Techies > Did anyone else receive notification of a security alert from Adobe? I got a letter in today's mail saying they were notifying me of "an incident that involved information about me." I tried calling their support number to get more information, but the wait time was more than 2 hours so I went to the web link and read the FAQ page about it. It's hard for me to tell exactly what happened or how serious it is. > I changed my adobe password, as they recommended. Is there something else I should do?
