[Hidden-tech] How to move from Joomla to Wordpress

Beyond the import of raw content there are other non-trivial tasks that 
are required to make the full transition:

  * Theme conversion/redesign/alternative - possibly based on your blog
    theme
  * URL mapping/rewriting to preserve existing links to content, also
    important for SEO
  * Possible merger with the existing /blog WordPress installation
    (optional)
  * Contact/Quote form submission - via plugins like Contact Form 7
    (free), Gravity Forms (paid), etc.
  * Video player embedding, playlist maintenance
  * Perhaps other plugin-based functionality that can't be resolved by a
    data import

It's definitely possible, especially if you're OK with it not being a 
exact duplicate when it's done.
