Straight talk is not a bad option. Another similar (maybe slightly cheaper) option that doesn't support Walmart in the process is. SIMple Mobile. They are $40/m and pretty good coverage in western mass according to the people I know who use the service. You could easily bring your iPhone 4 (still a great phone) to SIMple and only pay $40/m for unlimited everything There are a few local dealers for them in the area. In downtown Amherst I would recommend talking to Desmond Duval of Mobile Rapid Response Unit ( www.mrru.us).
