[Hidden-tech] Wanted: Java Programmer for Large Data Visualization Application

Hi all, 

I'm looking for a contract developer to write a small java application to do data 
visualization and exploration. 


The application will display data consisting mostly of line segments and 
allow the user to interact with the plots, 
mostly by changing the colors of segments or overplotting summary data.  
Example plots are available. 

The main requirements are fast interactive performance on realistic data 
sets (10 million line segments) and the 
design and implementation of good user interaction paradigms for data 
exploration.  This is a research tool; 
target users are seasoned scientists and software engineers. 

The code 
needs to be well-designed, clear and readable, and easy for our team to update and enhance. 

Experience with high-performance rendering and data visualization in 
java and experience with java UI components is critical.
