[Hidden-tech] Conference calls

Hi Herb,

I wasn't following this thread and don't see feedback from other than
Claudia...

I'll add this: I've been on calls that use Freeconferencecall.com and been
very impressed when part of a 30+ participant call. The sound quality is
overall very good and it's very easy to use.

Problems I've encountered:
1) Not being able to clearly hear "Muted" and "Unmuted" when toggling
between those two settings (which you do by hitting *6 for both options) so
it's sometimes unclear which mode you're in.
2) If someone is participating using Skype, their voice can get distorted
and/or an echo can be heard. (But this may be true of most conference call
services, not just this one)
3) Background noise can be loud, especially if a participant is on a cell
phone. (Again, this may be true of all conference call services, just as it
is on a one-on-one call)

Hope that's helpful.
Deb
