I have run into something similar to this. I assume that while both of you
are using Verizon as your ISP, neither of you is using an email address that
is @verizon, correct? If so, Verizon should not really enter the picture.
Assuming you are both using email addresses associated with your websites,
that is where you need to start the troubleshooting: with whomever you use
to host your websites and your email servers. What I would do is have him
send a test email to you and then assuming it does not come through, both of
you put in support requests with your web hosting companies to try to trace
the email. 
 
Another interesting test would be to have him send an email with another
type of attachment (e.g., an Excel file) to see if that comes through.
 
Good luck. I've spent way too much time pulling my hair out over such
issues.

I have a client who sends me emails with Word .docx attachments, fewer than
200KB, from his Mac via Verizon. I also have Verizon as my ISP, but I don't
receive them. They are not in any of the email lists or spam folders along
the chain of Web host to ISP to my PC Outlook desktop. It doesn't work if he
sends to my aol account either. He never receives a "failed delivery" email.
He had some problems in the past but says that his web guy has fixed the
problem and everyone else but me is now receiving attachments. It's
consistent in that NO word attachments come through, but every other email
even with the html signature file that he has with all of his emails does.
Has anyone run into this problem.any solutions, suggestions, tests to run?
Meanwhile I'm getting emails consistently from other clients with .docx file
attachments. Thanks for any help. Claudia
