[Hidden-tech] Hacking old iTouch...

Hello David,

I've run into this problem before, and there are two solutions depending on the generation of ITouch your daughter has. If it's a VERY old gen ITouch, then its basically a big flash drive.

Option 1: Go into ITunes, and select your ITouch. Under Summary, scroll to the bottom where options are displayed. If its old enough, there is an option you can check entitled "Enable disk". If you can do that, then you'll be able to search through the ITouch's internal files and just pull the music off yourself.

Option 2: If you can't enable disc, then you need some software. Luckily, there is enough available on the internet. You can probably get away with using trials and not having to pay anything. I use Phone to Mac (http://www.macroplant.com/phonetomac/), and its worked well enough. I will also refer you to this article for more information on options available to you (http://lifehacker.com/394046/copy-music-from-your-iphone-or-ipod-to-your-computer-for-free)

Good luck!
