[Hidden-tech] Advice/Repair for Color Laser Printer?

David-

Honestly, at 5 years old it's probably an ecological wash between adding it
to the responsible recycling stream and saving the energy efficiency
difference between it and a modern printer.

That said, if it's a model with a removable backplate and this problem
started suddenly I'd pull the backplate and look very carefully for
something like an adhesive label stuck in the back end of the paper
handling mechanics where it enters the fuser. I have found more than one
problem of that nature over the years in a number of different printers -
the HP 3005 series being the worst offenders.

(...and to be honest, while I'm telling you it probably makes sense to
pitch it I also have TWO impact printers, a 20 year old laser printer and
two working inkjets that ink has been discontinued for. I might not be one
to talk about actually parting with elderly technology.)
