[Hidden-tech] Anyone else having problem with gMail on a Droid phone?

I'm using a Samsung Nexus droid phone.

gMail is failing (won't load) with an error message. Google Play and Chrome
are failing randomly.  Online forums show this has been an issue for a
while, but it just happened to me.

Anyone run into this? Solutions? (and, no... the iPhone is not a solution.
