Hey folks - I'm hoping many HT types will ignore the awesome weather and head to the Amherst Video event tomorrow (Thursday) night March 22. Amherst Video has some impressive equipment and also some very good know-how on getting started with video, audio, etc. I have learned from a couple of our past programs than my Hidden-Tech members are reluctant about video. I know from my experience the learning curve can be steep, but multi-media content has had more powerful impact on my business the last few years than anything else I have done. When my buddy Morris pushed me to get a flip cam and get going a few years ago, I was really reluctant. Maybe 200 videos later, it's still a steep learning curve. But it was well worth it, and even along the way in the midst of awkward moments with the technology, you can share content while learning and still have a real business benefit. Obviously the proliferation of tablets and "iDevices" are only accelerating these trends. Opportunities on the one hand, opportunity cost for missed trends on the other. Now's a great time to learn. Look forward to seeing you there. I'll paste in details below in case you missed the announcement list version.... best regards, Jon Reed Founding Member, Hidden-Tech Board **************************************************** HIDDEN-TECH PRESENTS: Amherst Media, an Inside View **************************************************** When: Thursday, March 22, 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm (program 6:00 to 7:30) Where: Amherst Media, 246 College St. (Rt. 9), Amherst, Massachusetts; (Directions: <http://www.amherstmedia.org/about>http://www.amherstmedia.org/about) parking available.
