[Hidden-tech] Virus Issues on a Dell Laptop

Hi folks,
My wife's Dell laptop has had problems, mainly connecting to her printer. She was told (by someone who had presumably eliminated an earlier virus) that this is caused by another virus. 

Is there someone in our group, or known by people in our group, who can help with this issue? She hopes to find a way to purify her computer at reasonable cost, since it isn't a high-end machine, and she's already spent money on getting it in shape. 

Any thoughts?
