Hi Tom and HT, Tom, you may have to bite the bullet. (What the heck does that expression really mean anyway?) Recently, I too was required to show a certificate of Business General Liability Insurance (aka BOP "Business Owners Insurance Policy"), to a large corporate client. They would not waive the requirement. I went to my independent insurance agent (not a direct writer like Geico) at set them on the task of finding me appropriate coverage, which they did. Now, for $500 bucks a year (a small fraction of what my contract was worth) ,I have a nice little insurance policy which, frankly, I should long ago have had. I'm very impressed with the coverages and sleep better knowing that I'm protected from all manner of unforeseeable accidents that could seriously impact my business income. I have several great insurance agents I could refer you to if you wish. Call me if you need to, and congratulations on the win! J. Sheldon Snodgrass, MBA 413-244-2294 Close More. Make More. I am going to process the paperwork today. However, I will need a copy of your Certificate of Insurance showing General Liability and Workers' Compensation coverage. Can you have your insurance agency forward to me? Also, we will be sending you a Certification Letter that you will need to sign and mail back." ~~~ I am a sole proprietor, and in the 16 or so years of doing business, I haven't needed a "Certificate of Insurance showing General Liability and Workers' Compensation". Any tips on what my response should be or course of action I should take? thank you for any info... oh wise-technically-inclined-ones Regards, Tom Adams, Director/Owner Reelife Productions <http://www.ReelifeProductions.com> - using technology to educate, entertain & enlighten since 1996 Folktography by Tom <http://www.folktographybytom.com> - high quality photography and photo products Reelife Facebook Page <http://www.facebook.com/reelife> Reelife's Youtube Channel <http://www.youtube.com/reelife> Folktography's Facebook Page <http://www.facebook.com/folkography> <http://www.linkedin.com/in/tomadams2> Tom's LinkedIn Page <http://web.me.com/ReelifeProductions> Tom's "Links Directory" 413.575.9707 .
