*We're hiring! Common Media is looking for another Rails developer. We're a
web development and consulting shop with a healthy mix of new and ongoing
projects, and our HQ is located in downtown Greenfield MA, in newly
renovated post-industrial space. We also have a small satellite office in
New York's Capital District.

XHTML, CSS, and LAMP/RoR development experience is necessary. Solid jQuery
experience would be a definite plus. We're looking for someone with genuine
enthusiasm for Ruby on Rails, whether that person is an up and coming
junior developer or someone with 3+ years of solid experience.

Primary responsibilities will include:
* Updates and new features for existing Rails applications
* New Rails development to client specifications
* Documentation of issues and solutions

Necessary skills and attributes:
* Ability to write consistent, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS
* Ability to consider edge cases and thoroughly test your own code
* An earnest interest in writing good code for the sake of writing good code
* Ability (and eagerness) to learn new skills on the job
* Comfort working on the command line, especially in Mac and Ubuntu
environments
* Attention to detail and production schedules

Compensation commensurate with experience, plus benefits. Please submit a
resume, cover letter, and salary requirements to jobs at commonmediainc.com.
On-site position in Greenfield (MA) or Troy (NY) only; no telecommuters,
please. Must be available five days a week, but we can accommodate less
than a forty hour week. Position to start in March 2012.*
