[Hidden-tech] Trying to figure out traffic spike

Gabe,

The best way to do this would be to run analysis on your web server logs 
directly.  That should help you drill down to understand the traffic patterns 
more thoroughly.

A search engine link should come to you with information about the referrer.  If 
there is no referrer (aka "directly in"), then it's something like a bookmark, 
an link sent via email, or something like that.

Also, have you definitely ruled out bot traffic versus truly human traffic?  
There are new bots all the time that seem to have fun endlessly crawling, but 
nothing in return.
