[Hidden-tech] Meetup API

Does the meetup send out an email when a game is created? 
Can she setup a auto-reponse rule in her email program that will sign her up so that meetup in not continually getting pinged? 

Just noodling.

A friend has a problem with Meetup that might be solvable with some automation.

She belongs to a Meetup that runs volleyball games in the Hartford area. Problem is, teams for any particular game fill up so fast that she gets no opportunity to play.


So I checked to see if there's a Meetup API and there is.


Does anybody have experience with the Meetup API? Here's what I envisioned:


Monitor the particular Meetup for the posting of the Game (Use API?).Use the API to get her name on the list as soon as it opens.Rinse and repeat (not sure about the frequency of games).If any of you have been working on High Frequency Trading or similar shenanigans, this ought to be child's play...
