[Hidden-tech] Adobe Creative Cloud Suite

I haven't upgraded yet. Creative Cloud doesn't seem like a good deal to me
but I'm not positive. I have Creative Suite 3 Standard. The cost is $700 to
upgrade to CS6 but eligibility to upgrade CS3 ends Dec.
31<http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/faq/upgrade-policy.html>.
If I went with Creative Cloud for two years, it would be discounted to
$30/mo for year one, then presumably goes up to their current regular price
of $50/mo for year two, so $960 total. So at end of year two with C.C., I
would have paid $260 more than upgrading to CS6, and have to continue
paying at least $600/year or go back to CS3 and be stuck with a version
that would no longer be eligible for upgrade pricing. Whereas if I get CS6
now, that would probably be just a tad behind the newest version out two
years from now.

I think for those with CS3 or 4, C.C. would only be worth it if needing the
cloud sync/storage, additional programs that don't come with CS Design
Standard, for cash flow reasons (despite the higher cost over the
long-run), or if one really needs the newest version at all times. Seems
like C.C. would be awesome but definitely costlier over time, and only
worth it for some people. Any thoughts?

Best,
Jonathon
