I sure hope they find some good people because the C/W MARS system has been a complete mess since switching to the Evergreen system. Among other things, the notification system is broken. Even though my account settings have been checked numerous times, I still cannot get overdue or ready to pick up notifications. Aside from that, the interface is virtually unreadable on many screens and is not adjustable. There is no mobile interface at all, making the system unusable from cell phones. Navigation and functions are not intuitive and no help function is provided, or if it is, is cleverly hidden. What used to be called "request a book" (the meaning of which is clear to all) was changed to "place a hold" with no explanation whatsoever. There is no feedback mechanism. Users are told to address questions to their local library. The staff at my local library has long ago thrown up their hands at any problems with C/W Mars. The evident bugginess of Evergreen indicates that some good programmers are certainly needed, but even more than that, they need some managers who understand something about usability and customer-oriented design.
