[Hidden-tech] PDF creation problem from Mac

That must be MOST annoying. It sounds familiar. You probably have some kind of corruption in your MS Word doc (MS Word really doesn't like large docs!) It's telling you so!

Some Ideas:

1) Do you know about the trick to get rid of corruption by highlighting everything in your doc EXCEPT the very last pilcrow? Make sure you have View/Reveal Formatting on. HIghlight all, and then holding down your command key back space so the pilcrow is NOT highlighted. Copy and then paste in a new doc. I think this technique is called a "Maggie" after the person who discovered it.

2) Preview is very nice for combining PDFs, so my workaround would be to PDF the pages that work in say batches of 20. Go from the front and from the back. Name your files Carefully! And then recombine them in Preview. Painful, yes. But it might work. See if you can isolate where the corruption is.

I'd love to hear how it works out. Call me if you want.
