Everything that is plugged in, uses power as long as the power
strpi/surge protector is plugged into the wall and on. The best thing,
if you want to leave stuff plugged in, is one of two things. First is to
just turn off the power strips, and surge protectors, for extended
times, like a week, just unplug the strip. This saves your devices from
an unfortunate power surge while you are away. Also Monster came up with
special surge protectors which regulate power issue by if the same
device is on, like a computer. Also UPS systems also help save
electricity, and protect devices better than a surge protector. That is
all of the information I have.

Cheers
