Ann,

Is there a specific reason you're using Valinet? 

I'm in Conway, not Shelburne Falls, and I've used Crocker for years without an issue. I would recommend Crocker - if they're available. 

I'm assuming that Shelburne Falls in the town center would be serviced by Crocker, Verizon, and Comcast. If Valinet isn't responding, I'd recommend switching now and save yourself the headache of Valinet.
