Can't remember if I started this thread...
Anyhow, my friend has a great blog on his migration to standing desks 
<http://www.spillingcoffee.com/2010/08/14/my-diy-standing-desk-experiment/>. 
No weight lost on his part.
  I rigged a standing desk for myself 
<http://swampdancer.com/misc/Zline_standing_desk_small.jpg> 6 weeks or 
so ago. It is 2 shelves of a 4 bookshelf system that matches my Z Line 
Matrix <http://www.z-lineracing.com/collection/15-Matrix> sitting desk. 
I just turned one of the shelves around to stagger. Fits my 6'1" 
perfectly. I do most of my work standing now. Bought a stool that slides 
under for when I need a break. Got an industrial stress/fatigue mat to 
stand on. Excellent post surgery, too, when sitting hurts.
