Since this site is PHP it sounds like a Linux host. So you could actually just modify the. htaccess file best bet though would be download the site run a batch on it to replace absolute URLs. Of course if it was in a cms like WordPress then you'll actually have to make those changes in the database. Its a pretty draught forward process for a web developer with the right access.
