I would check /etc/my.cnf and also make sure the version of Magento you have installed (or its config file) *matches* the version of MySQL you have installed. Oh, and make sure things are consistent WRT the distro things are insalled on and built for. It can be wonky to install a Debian-built Magento on a RHEL/CentOS system, etc. Even if things were built on the right sort of system, you need to be sure that the configuration files agree about the location of files/sockets, port numbers, UIDs/GIDs, etc. Oh, I presume that you already checked that MySQL is in fact running AND that the authentication is corrent (username, password, database name, etc.). > > Thanks in advance, > Afranio > > MIME-Version: 1.0 > > _______________________________________________ > Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net > Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net > > You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list. > If you would like to change your list preferences, Go to the Members > page on the Hidden Tech Web site. > http://www.hidden-tech.net/members > > -- Robert Heller -- 978-544-6933 / heller at deepsoft.com Deepwoods Software -- http://www.deepsoft.com/ () ascii ribbon campaign -- against html e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org -- against proprietary attachments
