Job Opening -Part-Time Bookkeeping Consultant The Proteus Fund is seeking a local part-time bookkeeping consultant, based in Western Massachusetts, to assist with the financial management of Proteus Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization and our affiliated 501(c)(4) organization, the Proteus Action League. The consultant will initially work approximately 10-15 hours per week. The workload is cyclical and will sometimes require the consultant to work in the Proteus Fund office. The Consultant will provide bookkeeping services to Proteus Fund and Proteus Action League including but not limited to: monthly reconciliation of operating and investment accounts; assistance with annual audits; production of monthly and quarterly financial reports; completing reports for various state agencies; streamlining of financial internal procedures; management of accounts receivable, compilation of invoices for consulting work as needed, and depositing revenue into appropriate accounts. Required skills and experience with: financial management; QuickBooks financial management software; Microsoft Excel; 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations, and experience as a consultant.
