Hi,

I am participating in two upcoming workshops at the Hilltown CDC in
Chesterfield and thought they might be of interest to some of you on this
list. They are:

Key Audiences and Core Messages: The Best Ways to Communicate with Customers
and Prospects Tuesday, March 29 6 to 9 PM, $35. Communicating what
makes your business, products, and services stand out is essential to
business success. This hands-on workshop explores key communication elements
that can convey the essence of what you do. We will introduce you to
practical techniques that will help you define and organize what to say and
to whom you will say it. Everyone has a good story; learn about the
fundamentals that will help you tell yours more effectively and efficiently.
Taught by Karen Lauter Utgoff of Utgoff Consulting and Jeanne Yocum of
Tuscarora Communications.

Get the Media to Tell Your Business¹ Story Wednesday, April 6 6 to 9 PM,
$35 Publicity is one of the most effective marketing tools available to any
business owner. Getting your company and its products or services covered in
a news story in print or broadcast media provides tremendous visibility and
credibility and can be done for virtually no cost. In this workshop, PR
veteran Jeanne Yocum will explain how you can interest the media in telling
your story. Examples of tools you can use to generate media coverage will be
provided along with pointers on what to do (and not to do) in media
interviews.
