Cheryl,

Your solution really depends on some specifics of what you are uploading and
what you are trying to accomplish.
As Tom says, YouTube is a great option. One of its biggest limitations, the
15m limit, is being lifted.
YouTube is also the most browsed online video service, though that manner of
finding videos is becoming obsolete for most users who now basically use
aggregators like reddit.

At NCTV we utilize Vimeo and I can relate our reasons for the choice.
It has the best codec of anything close to free.
You can now watch Vimeo on all smart phones.
At about $6/month we can upload files up to 5GB - hours and hours long at
full HD at full screen. (The free account caps at 500mb uploads)
It has the strongest community of multimedia professionals.

I'd be curious as to hear about embed issues you have had with blip.tv,
which, until its recent changes, was the only other service we consistently
considered a switch towards.
