[Hidden-tech] file encryption sw

SecureZip comes from PKWare, who originated the Zip format. As a
longtime user of their software, I had a license for an earlier version
and thought it was an excellent product, but not well suited for my
needs. It's really aimed at enterprises that use Microsoft Office and
want to force their employees to encrypt all their documents and email.

For strong encryption, I suggest using the 7z (7-Zip) or RAR (WinRAR)
formats rather than Zip for the archive, with AES-256 encryption, a long
password (15 bytes or more) and checking the option to encrypt filenames
which encrypts the header so that you need the password to even see the
contents (not possible with a standard Zip archive).

While not as common as Zip, both 7z and RAR archives can be opened by
many archive programs other than the ones that created them.

Disk encryption, like TrueCrypt, is fine, but won't add much to the
above and will make it much harder for recipients to extract the data.
