Trademarking can be complex, but a normal human can usually handle it. That 
is, no special education (legal) required. The trickiest part may be 
defining your category.

It can be done online through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. There is 
a fee, so be prepared to use credit card or go the more time-consuming print 
route.
