I realize this is a bit late in the game, but I think another factor to consider in choosing a CMS that I don't think has been mentioned is affinity with other users. Wordpress might be a good choice just because it's pretty likely that someone in the theater group knows someone who knows Wordpress.  Joomla has a very active and beginner friendly user group that meets once a month in Brattleboro and has some incredibly bright and dedicated people answering questions in the email forum. I imagine the Drupal group has a similar following. As others have said, any of the CMSs can do the job, but if they are able to ask questions of somebody besides you, that might make both of you happier in the long haul.
