[Hidden-tech] Remote desktop control software

Andy,

There are quite a few such services.

GoToMeeting is the best (IMO) in terms of usability and reliability. You
can have up to 16 people in a session, and you can make _any_ of them the
presenter, including taking control of their keyboard / mouse; or return to
sharing your own desktop. GTM costs $50/month. (If you are a non-profit
you can get an annual license for $50 from TechSoup.org. )

There a quite a few products and services that attempt to emulate
GoToMeeting, with varying degrees of success.  Variables include cost;
supported O/S & browser; whether you can take control or just show; changing
the presenter; number of participants, and other variables. I've tried 5 or
6 of the list below, and keep returning to GTM even though it costs $. But
many people are quite satisfied with one or more of these.

If you try any of these, I personally wouldn't mind getting an update on
which you like / dislike, and why; and I suspect other HT-ers might benefit
from your experience too.
