[Hidden-tech] ram upgrade quandary

The short answer is that OS X eats RAM for breakfast and you will generally
see a noticeable increase in performance by going from 512MB to 1GB. There
are obviously other factors depending on what you are trying to do, such as
databases being more dependent on hard drive spindle speed, etc.
