[Hidden-tech] Syquest drives/ Pagemaker 6 ?

Jim - I keep one G4 (non-Intel) Mac laptop updated no further than
10.4.11 so I can still jump back to OS9 if necessary, which then also
recognises SCSI.

Or at least in the past my slightly older Powerbook used a PCMI card
SCSI adapter to interface to a host of older drives I keep here
(various sizes of Iomega, Syquest, etc.) so I can pull sound files
off for clients, but I haven't tried to run the same card in the slot
of my newer Powerbook G4. It probably can do it. The newer
combination maybe would still pull it off... and actually it runs
Pagemaker 6.5.2 which is the System 9 version I'm running tandem with
inDesign CS3. (Because of the type of work I do I always try to stay
backward compatible - including with audio tape machines, video,
etc... I even have a working Portapak).

So... if you don't solve it in some other way and think you might
want to slate some time on my machine, I'll test the SCSI connection
and the Syquest drive I have.
