If the drive includes the SCSI card and it is an Adaptec PCI card (eg
some flavor of AHA-2940<mumble>, it should be plug and play (you may
have to dig out your MS-Windows installer CD to get the driver, but it
will be there).  ANY linux box will have the driver module as part of
the stock kernel.

*I* presently have a AHA-29160 card in my desktop (I'm not actually
using it at present), and have several AHA-2940's (some wide, some
narrow).  I have an assortment of SCSI cables, terminators, etc. as
well.
