[Hidden-tech] SLOW wordpress site on GoDaddy - hosting solution?

I like Bluehost a lot for hosting, and WordPress recommends them - so that's a good thing. Seems fast enough to me for the sites I've hosted there - I've never had any problems with them. And they have great phone service, too, which I think counts for a lot. Has anyone else used them? I'd be curious to know what other people think.

I have tried various caching solutions but the improvement was marginal at best. I have also stripped away any superfluous plug-ins and optimized all graphics but the site is still crawling along.

I have heard that GoDaddy is not the best hosting company for Wordpress sites anyhow and, in fact, I have already experienced some pitfalls as a result of hosting with them that I have not experienced elsewhere. Anyone have an experience/advice on the best service to use?
