As I suggested to Susanne, if it is causing that many problems, I
would recommend trying a new antivirus.

That said, the Live One Care forums are a helpful place, in the years
I spent installing/supporting Live One Care I have found that they
have pretty good repair tools/help online.

Your problem is reminiscent of something I experienced about a year ago, but I can't for the life of me recall what I did to fix it. I believe my computer repair guy found a work-around online (might have entailed changing or deleting an entry in the Registry).

LiveOne Care had a problem that when I shut down the computer, on restart it said the antivirus element wasn’t implemented. Checking on the box to restart it didn’t work. Rebooting did.
