Hi Shel, Check your System Profiler to see what hardware you have installed. You may only have the Combo drive, not the Superdrive. If you do have the Superdrive which can burn DVD-R, RW discs, then you might try cleaning the lens of the drive with the proper cleaning disc. If you need to borrow an external drive, give a ring and swing by my office.
