Cynthia, not all DVD players will play PAL DVDs, I have had that experience over the years, sort of depends on the model and year of the DVD player. However, there is software available which will allow you reformat the DVD to match NTSC format. Converting the DVD to NTSC is not the easiest route but sometimes it's the only one available to view the DVD on your DVD player. You should have less of an issue viewing the PAL DVD on your PC.
