[Hidden-tech] Verizon vs. AT&T coverage

I have had both Verizon and AT&T. In the valley, I have had no problems with either service. There are specific towns where one works and another doesn't. Check with others in the town or city where you do most of your calling and go with that service unles you want a specifc phone.

I make a frequent run toVermont from Springfield up 91 and beyond.. Both work fine to Brattleboro. Beyond that, for vast stretches, Verizon is non-existent. AT&T has 3G service in some very small towns where Unicel used to have towers which they took over and upgraded. A patchwork quilt of service is better than Verizon's complete lask of service.

AT&T is the only service that works in Buckland (Shelburne Falls). Used
to have Unicel until it became Verizon and tried for a month to
get/place calls from W. Franklin County before needing to switch to
AT&T. I get full coverage, but it is Edge and I'd agree bandwidth is an
issue. My husband uses a regular phone and has lapses in receipt of his
email of days - Phone reds 0 messages when he actually has 20 new ones!
AT&T store in Noho told me last week all of MA will be 3G by the end of
the year. I'm not holding my breath.
