[Hidden-tech] [SPAM] Screen Capture with 300 dpi Output

Your screen graphics from a website or anything else will always be 72dpi
but that is really not of importance in this case because monitor resolution
plays into it as well. The higher you have your resolution set, the more
you see, more pixels you can capture. A monitor uses pixels for the size.
Pixels translate to inches as dots. So if your laptop monitor is 1400 x
900 pixels - 1400 / 300 DPI means you will get a 4.67" wide by 900 / 300 =
3" tall screen shot at 300 dpi. If this size is large enough for your book
then you are fine. If you need something larger you can use a larger
monitor for capture set to 1600 or even 2000. Use a new 27" Mac and you can
really capture a large screen shot.

In all honesty most people can't distinguish more than 200 dpi in print. So
you could actually get a 7" x 4.5" screen shot that would look pretty good
in a book.

Always remember a dot is a pixel. Same thing just two different media.
