You'll need extra hardware to do it, even if your Mac comes with a fax modem. You can use PhoneValet (<http://www.phonevalet.com>) or Phlink(<http://www.ovolab.com/phlink/>) will fit the bill (although IME Phlink is way too buggy to depend on)
