Dave,

I am in love with my first generation android phone (G1) from TMoble. What
it lacks in Iphone polish it gains in platform openness, and blackbarry like
email.

Having a slide out keyboard is nice that is lacking on the iphone. All
the android phones allow you do touch screen typing too but
the tactile keyboard allows me to type much faster and by feel alone.

Also the Google phones from tmobile and other GSM providers allow you do to
go on the internet while in a call just like the iphone.

If you want a tool more then a toy, look at the google phone before the
iphone.
