Hi Annamarie, We live in a valley in Ludlow and our cell phones were unreliable in this location. We purchased a Verizon/Samsung network extender from Verizon for about $250. The extender seems to work excellent. It is like having a cell tower in our house. Four bars all the time. Perhaps you have a different model or you need to revisit the installation and setup of the extender. We are internet challenged and I thought folks on this list might have some interesting and useful experience to relate. We have Verizon Wireless, a USB device which plugs into a wireless router in the attic. After much searching I was able to find the one spot where the USB device picks up a signal. I did this two years ago. The device works but not well. Last year I researched and bought for the house a Wi-Ex zBoost YX510-PCS-CEL cell phone signal extender . For various messed up reasons, I wasn't there when my sister attempted to install it. SHe has declared, "it doesn't work". Having read all the instructions for careful placement, I'm not sure I accept her verdict. On the other hand, she's reasonably smart about these sort of things. According to Verizon coverage map, our house has full data coverage and spotty cell phone reception. So has anything improved in 7 months? Has anyone on the edges of coverage put together a good system that they recommend? Thanks for help.
