A high-gain external antenna can make a huge difference. Are you sure the zBoost thingy is for the *data* channel and not just for voice (they are different sorts of signals)? > > According to Verizon coverage map, our house has full data coverage > and spotty cell phone reception. I don't know what (if anything) Verizon has been doing WRT cell towers, etc. I have heard that Verizon is going to be rolling out a '4G' system using 700mhz. This will of course make your existing 2.4ghz (?) equipment obsolute. (One of the great things about wireless tech -- it is NOT future-proof and the techology is very much still evolving very fast.) > > Thanks for help. > > Annamarie Pluhar > > Pluhar Consulting > Results through effective group process > 802.451.1941 > 802.579.5975 (cell) > > > > > > > > MIME-Version: 1.0 > > _______________________________________________ > Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net > Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net > > You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list. > If you would like to change your list preferences, Go to the Members > page on the Hidden Tech Web site. > http://www.hidden-tech.net/members > > -- Robert Heller -- 978-544-6933 Deepwoods Software -- Download the Model Railroad System http://www.deepsoft.com/ -- Binaries for Linux and MS-Windows heller at deepsoft.com -- http://www.deepsoft.com/ModelRailroadSystem/
