[Hidden-tech] CiviCRM and projects

We explored Civi for similar needs here and ended up going with an Organic Groups based solution which used a Group Node per User and other nodes (for tasks, projects, etc) could be added to that group on creation.

This had a lot of built in permission based perks, but we had a lot of other requirements that this met for us and may be overkill for you needs.

You might be able to integrate project Storm into Civi to meet your needs. http://drupal.org/project/storm

Otherwise, Al Nutile @ RVTC has done a lot of Civi setups. alfred at rvtc.us
